DN 80 to DN 300, 8 bar max.
Designed for fast and secure stopping-off of gas and water pipes made of all materials with an operating pressure of max 8 bar without interruptions in operation.
The TITAN 8plus pipe drilling and stop-off system doesn't focus on conventional stop-off bags, but on an extremely tough rubber stopper. It is centrally presst under pressure in the drilled tube and ensures an extremely secure sealing.
Due to the modular design of our newly developed unit, users are able to combine a pipe-drilling unit tailor-made for his specific application range, without having to buy a complete system.
The basic TITAN 8plus system consists of one tapping device and two hydraulic stopple application and pressing devices, always tailored to the chosen dimension from DN 80 up to DN 300.
Matching all nominal diameters, we also offer:
- a two-piece T-fitting with flange
- Sliding gates
- adapter flanges
- rim milling saws
- combination sluices for gas-free pipe drilling and stopping
- matching drilling tools
- a magnet rod
- a stopper positioning rod
- stopples matching the nominal width
- etc.
The TITAN 8plus pipe drilling and stop-off system offers a number of vital advantages:
- Lower material costs, since only the two-piece T-fitting with flange and threaded insert remain at the building site
- Maximum safety and minimum wear due to the use of our novel special stopples to lock off pipes with an operating pressure of up to 4 bar
- The städtler + beck principle of spring-loaded drilling and the use of our low-cost, low wear cutting tools result in fast and cost effective pipe drilling
- We offer a comprehensive range of accessories matching all types of pipes and pipe materials
Application
To stabilize the pipe and position the TITAN 8plus pipe drilling and stop-off system, a two-piece T-fitting with flange is welded onto the pipe to be blocked and a sluice valve is attached to the pipe. Prior to this procedure, possible insulating coats need to be removed. The combination sluice with the pipe-drilling device is mounted onto the valve.
After drilling, the sluice valve needs to be closed, the magnetic rod will be inserted in order to remove all metal shavings. Prior to mounting the hydraulic stopple device, the sluice valve needs to be closed again. Next, hydraulic pressure of appx. 80 bar is applied to drive the stopple via a transmission through the drilled opening in order to close it tightly.
In case a bypass pipe connection is required, a second drilling of the same type is necessary in order to connect this bypass by means of a welded-on sleeve.
