KOMUP
Compact sleeve testing device with closed hollow-chamber profile, foldable construction,
single-part design, from DN 1200 onward 2-part design
From DN 600 to DN 2600
The first socket-testing device, that is collapsible and fits through any DIN shaft opening from DN 625 - even crampons are not an obstacle.
The first socket-testing device, that comes with a closed rubber hollow-chamber profile and is equipped with an integrated rubber seal strip, working with all piping materials.
All advantages at a glance:
- Easy and fast equipment assembly within the pipe
- Significant weight reduction and better handling, plus transportation cost saving
- 100% sealed by a closed rubber profile
- Coupling misalignment finally no longer a problem - the maximum stroke is 70mm
- Full device security and stability
- suitable for any pipe material and any type of test
Application
Continuous rubber hollow-chamber profiles are the guarantee for 100% tight fitting of the test-sleeves - even after frequent use (assembly and disassembly of the device), the KOMUP remains tight.
Nevertheless, städtler + beck products do not compromise when it comes to safety and quality standards. The rubber hollow-chamber profile is - as with all conventional pneumatic test devices in our product range limited in scope by the steel bracket. Locking steel pins secure the folding mechanism. The 5 mm thick manufactured steel weld construction allows for a corresponding pressure in the rubber-hollow-chamber profile without deforming the body of the KOMUP device.
Unsurpassed is the maximum stroke of 70 mm of the städtler + beck hollow-chamber profile rubber, which makes the new KOMUP so unique. Even slight special interior extent GRP pipes can be checked with this standard device - without the tedious and costly problem associated with bridging ligaments. Testing problems of sleeve misalignments belong to the past!
Unique is the combination of the different qualities of rubber. On the rubber hollow-chamber profile there is a special rubber-sealing strip that is guided in rubber grooves. This KOMUP-sealing strip is designed with a composition so that there is a 100% leak tightness even in the driest concrete pipes possible.
Construction
The new KOMUP consists of a steel welded construction, so that the individual segments are connected by hinges. The length of the segments has been designed in a way that the construction is completely foldable.
In this way, even equipment for the testing of large pipe sections can effortlessly be inserted through a DIN pithead.
Due to the change of design, discontinuation of heavy conventional flange connections, the net weight of KOMUP's - depending on the nominal size – was reduced up to one third. A significant reduction of the transport weight and thus a reduction of transport costs is the result.
Note
An extensive range of accessories are available for both types of leakage testing devices - with air or water.
